Hello CR friends! We’re back with more updates from CRIBS, where we always bring you the latest information, facts, and activities happening at CRIBS school.
On Friday, August 30, Cahaya Rancamaya Islamic Boarding School again conducted Disaster Mitigation activities as part of its ongoing efforts.
This event, initiated by the school’s discipline department in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) of Bogor City, aimed to educate students and provide them with a general understanding of disasters and the appropriate actions to take when they occur.
The topics covered in the session included how to provide First Aid during accidents, necessary actions during disasters, and the correct methods for evacuation and self-rescue. The BNPB team also explained common panic reactions during disasters and how to handle them properly. Additionally, the BNPB team organized disaster simulation exercises (for earthquakes and fires) and conducted hands-on practice sessions with all students.
The students were very enthusiastic throughout the entire series of activities, especially during the fire disaster response simulation practice.
Even though we have been equipped with knowledge of disaster management, we should always pray to Allah SWT to keep us safe from all disasters and dangers.
