Starting the first week in February 2024, Cahaya Rancamaya IBS School is again holding a very extraordinary event, namely CMC (Cahaya Rancamaya Master Chef). The event, which took place on Saturday, February 3, succeeded in attracting extraordinary interest from both middle and high school students.
The event, which was initiated by the MGMP Social team, carried the theme “Indonesian and International Unity“. Each class is required to send 2 representative teams each with a composition of 3 students per group. Apart from that, in this CMC there are other exciting things that have been prepared by the organizers.
Where apart from the 2 teams representing each competing class, they must try to prepare the right and delicious dishes to compete for the CMC title this time, other class members also have to study and prepare presentations regarding the nutritional value of the dishes served by their class representative teams. This makes this year’s CMC competition even more unique and different from previous years.
The aim of this activity is to encourage students’ creativity, increase awareness of the nutritional value of food, strengthen teamwork, encourage independence, and raise students’ awareness of the rich and extraordinary variety and taste of Indonesian food so that the young generation needs to start learning from now on. to appreciate the food and culture of the archipelago.
Apart from that, there are several things that are indicators of the jury’s assessment of the team that cooks, such as taste, appearance, ideas/creativity, cleanliness, teamwork. Apart from that, for the team that makes the presentation, the things that are assessed are the quality of the content, the accuracy of the information, the response to questions, and teamwork.
Losing and winning in a competition is a normal thing, but behind it all there will always be wisdom from everything and process that we have gone through, for those who have not succeeded, keep the enthusiasm for learning and don’t be discouraged, keep trying and instill the spirit of never giving up, because rest assured that one day there will be a time when failure will give up on the efforts we make.
