Garuda School at SMA Cahaya Rancamaya: A New Step Toward Indonesia’s Golden Generation

A new chapter in Indonesia’s education landscape has officially begun. On October 8, 2025, the government launched the Garuda School Program simultaneously across various regions under the theme “Introducing Garuda School: A New Hope for Excellent Education.” With great pride, SMA Cahaya Rancamaya Islamic Boarding School, Bogor, was chosen as one of the official launch sites.

For us, the presence of Garuda School is more than just a national program—it is a form of recognition and deep trust from the government in our commitment to providing globally competitive education rooted in Islamic values and focused on developing future leaders.

Building an Excellent Generation from Bogor for Indonesia

During the launching ceremony, the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA), Dra. Hj. Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, M.Si, attended on behalf of the central government. She emphasized that Garuda School stands on three main pillars: equal access to education, leadership development, and sustainable academic excellence.

This initiative is part of the Quick Best Results Program (PHTC), derived from President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita, which focuses on strengthening human resources in science, technology, education, and leadership. Through Garuda School, the government aims to provide the best platform for young talents to gain access to world-class universities while maintaining their dedication to serving Indonesia.

Cahaya Rancamaya and the Garuda Education Concept

The principal of SMA Cahaya Rancamaya, Sandra Susanto, S.Ag., M.Pd.I., explained that the school has been selected as a model for the Garuda Excellent Transformation School concept. It combines the national curriculum, the Cambridge curriculum, and daily religious practices to shape students who excel academically and possess strong character.

Students of SMA Cahaya Rancamaya come from various regions across Indonesia, selected through a rigorous process involving academic tests, psychological assessments, and interviews. Teachers receive regular training twice a year to maintain the quality of instruction.

A Great Dream Toward the 2045 Generation

The launch of Garuda School is not merely an educational project—it is a long-term investment to nurture the 2045 Generation, young Indonesians who dare to dream big and compete globally.

The Chief of the Presidential Staff, Dr. Muhammad Qodari, S.Psi., M.A., described Garuda School as a tangible realization of President Prabowo’s vision to provide access to excellent education for all Indonesian children. The government is committed to overseeing regulatory aspects, funding, and the quality of educators.

Challenges remain, from infrastructure readiness to the distribution of qualified teachers. Yet the spirit is clear: Indonesia is building a platform for its brightest youth to learn, grow, and contribute to the nation.

Garuda School is not just another school—it is a symbol of hope, a place where the dreams of Indonesian children begin to find their wings.
