

Students of Cahaya Rancamaya Islamic Boarding School (IBS) have once again demonstrated outstanding achievements at the national level by securing multiple awards at the Indonesian Science Project Olympiad (ISPO) 2026. This prestigious science research and project-based competition serves as a platform for students to develop scientific thinking, creativity, and innovation across various fields of science, technology, and scientific arts.
ISPO is a national event that encourages students to present scientific ideas through structured research, data analysis, and solution-oriented approaches to real-world challenges. Cahaya Rancamaya IBS’s participation in ISPO 2026 reflects the school’s strong commitment to fostering a research-oriented culture, project-based learning, and the development of strong academic character from an early stage.
At ISPO 2026, the Cahaya Rancamaya IBS delegation achieved remarkable results across several categories. In the Environment category, Esad Bayram Arivamurti (Grade 11 UMelbourne) and Emir Maulana Musthofa (Grade 11 UMelbourne) were awarded the Bronze Medal for their project addressing environmental issues and sustainable solutions.
In the Physics category, Valkean Ikram Permana (Grade 11 Stanford) and Nadhim Muhammad Sulthan Sabhir (Grade 11 Stanford) earned the Silver Medal, highlighting their strong mastery of physics concepts, accurate research methodology, and solid analytical skills.
Another notable achievement came from the Drawing category, where Kenzie Ali Natapura (Grade 8 Madinah) and M. Fahrianoor (Grade 8 Al-Azhar) received the Best Poster Award. Their work was recognized for its ability to communicate scientific ideas creatively, visually, and effectively.
In addition to medal achievements, several students also received Honorable Mention awards in various categories. Azmi Bahruddin Prasetya (Grade 9 NUS) was awarded Honorable Mention in the Biology category, while Fabyan Al Ghiffari Wibowo (Grade 9 NUS) received Honorable Mention in the Chemistry category. Furthermore, in the Computer category, Danish Albaihaqqi Harset (Grade 7 Monash) and Muhammad Hanif Anwari (Grade 7 Monash) earned Honorable Mention for their technology- and computation-based project.
These achievements reflect the students’ dedication, the intensive guidance provided by teachers and mentors, and the school’s continuous support in nurturing students’ academic potential and research interests.
