In celebration of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day, Cahaya Rancamaya Islamic Boarding School always prepares wholeheartedly and with utmost dedication. This is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to our predecessors who sacrificed their lives and souls for the independence of our beloved nation.
As in previous years, the commemoration of Indonesia’s Independence Day will begin with the Flag Raising Ceremony of the Red and White, followed by various competitions. Before the competitions, CR students also present special Independence Day performances, such as a marching formation by the Paskibra team, an angklung ensemble by Grade 12, a band performance by junior high students featuring national songs, as well as poetry and musical performances by female students.
After enjoying these special presentations, the festivities continue with traditional competitions such as Tug of War, Coconut Shell Racing, Kerupuk-Eating Contest, Water Volleyball, Futsal with Sarongs, Balloon Pairing, National Song Guessing Game, and many more.
However, a crucial question remains: has the struggle truly come to an end? The answer is certainly no—and it will never end. Our duty as the next generation is to continue striving to safeguard the independence entrusted to us by our predecessors.
As the young generation and the hope of the nation, studying is one of the struggles we must endure. With determination and passion, let us nurture and preserve the spirit of independence. Love for our homeland, Indonesia, will give us the strength and resolve to safeguard the unity of our nation, with all its beauty and diversity.
May the fiery spirit of Indonesia’s Independence Day, commemorated every August 17th, serve as a reminder for us to always be grateful and to dedicate our efforts wholeheartedly in preserving the true meaning of independence—our expression of gratitude to the heroes of our nation.
