The Struggle of Stepping into a New Chapter of Life

In mid-July 2025, Cahaya Rancamaya Islamic Boarding School once again began its teaching and learning activities, starting with the handover ceremony for new Grade 7 and Grade 10 students.

In general, the welcoming series for new students this year was similar to previous years, but there were some significant differences. Upon arrival, new students and their parents were greeted and directed to their respective rooms and classes. Notably, this year Cahaya Rancamaya Islamic Boarding School officially opened classes for female students at both the junior and senior high school levels.

While waiting for their children, parents could tour the campus and gather information from various booths prepared by the school. These showcased the many activities and programs at Cahaya Rancamaya, such as Club, Project, Olympiad, Parent Program, Tahfiz, P5, Edusteam, OSIS, and more.

Thus, during the PSB handover event, parents and students didn’t simply arrive and leave—they could explore and directly inquire about CR programs that interested them.

After enjoying their tour of the information booths, parents were also invited to attend a seminar or talk show on parenting, presented by a team of competent educational and child development psychologists.

Having gained valuable information and insights, parents and students then joined congregational prayers and shared lunch together, followed by the symbolic handover ceremony.

At the closing of the symbolic handover, tears from both students and parents could no longer be held back. After receiving a thorough introduction to the school, they now had to face the reality of a new chapter—one that stirred mixed emotions but required strength to embrace.

With the end of the welcoming event, that new chapter officially began. Parents and children now needed to let go, trusting each other for a bright and happy future.

May this struggle and sacrifice bear sweet and joyful results, as hoped by all.
