The STEAM learning model (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) is one of the 21st century learning models that related to development of soft skills by creating an integrated field of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, with the expectation of our students are able to grasp a holistic understanding of science through 21st century learning experiences.
STEAM approach learning is contextual learning, where students are get involved in understanding phenomena that occurs near to themselves and their environment. The STEAM approach encourages students to explore all their abilities, in their own ways. The STEAM approach aims to bring out unique and new invention from each individual or group of students. In addition, collaboration, teamwork and communication will emerge in this learning process because this approach is applied in group. The STEAM learning model at Cahaya Rancamaya Islamic Boarding School also aims to prepare students to take part in science project olympiad/competition both national and international level.
